In Home ABA Therapy
At Little Steps ABA Therapy, we provide individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services in the comfort and security of your own home. This setting allows children to learn and practice new skills in an environment that feels safe to them and incorporates their natural surroundings into the learning process. This helps support generalization and helps progress feel meaningful.
Each program is designed to meet the specific needs of your child and your family. Therapy focuses on developing functional communication, daily living skills, social engagement, and behavior regulation — always at a pace that feels safe, supportive, and achievable.

Every journey begins with a comprehensive assessment.
Using evidence-based tools such as the VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, or AFLS (depending on your child’s needs), we identify current skill levels, strengths, and areas for growth. From there, we create a personalized treatment plan with clear, measurable goals that align with:
What is most important to your child
What is most important to your family
Evidence-based practices supported by current research

At Little Steps ABA Therapy, we believe that parents are the experts when it comes to understanding their children! Therefore, we approach our time with families as “parent collaboration”, not “parent training”. We know that the best outcomes happen when families are active members of the treatment team.
During therapy sessions, we encourage family members to be present, ask the BCBA questions, and participate in the activities.
Parents/ caregivers meet regularly with the BCBA to learn the science of ABA, collaborate on goals, review child’s progress, and learn how to apply the principles of ABA on their own!
Anyone that assumes regular care of the child is welcome to attend these meetings, not just parents!

Learning doesn’t stop at home and neither do we!
Community-based ABA services give families the opportunity to build meaningful skills in real-world settings such as parks, grocery stores, restaurants, or local attractions like the zoo. These sessions focus on:
Safely navigating public spaces
Building independence and confidence in new environments
Supporting positive family outings and shared experiences
Promoting generalization of communication, coping, and social skills
Our goal is to help families feel supported and empowered to enjoy their community together, one little step at a time.
About Us
From the desk of Founder & Clinical Director, Katie Brunswick:
I still remember the moment that inspired the name Little Steps ABA Therapy.
When I first decided to pursue a career in ABA, I was working in-home as an RBT with a little boy who had very few vocal abilities. For months, we practiced simple sounds together — I’d model one and wait patiently for him to try. Day after day, we worked side by side, playing, laughing, and building trust. I focused on helping him feel safe, cared for, and excited to learn.
Then one day, something incredible happened. He echoed the sound back to me — his very first vocal imitation. His face lit up as I cheered, and his parents ran in to celebrate. It might have sounded small to anyone else, just a single vowel sound, but in that moment, it meant everything. It was the start of his voice — the first of many steps that would eventually grow into words, phrases, and meaningful communication.
That simple sound changed the way I saw progress. It reminded me that real growth doesn’t always come in leaps — it happens in those little steps built on patience, connection, and joy. That’s the philosophy behind everything we do at Little Steps ABA Therapy.
